The Enabling Brother-In-Law

In post after post, you will hear about Mr. Farmer's older brother (1959-2012). My darling brother-in-law worked across the street from a large flea-market, and he just couldn't help himself. You will read again and again how he brought us plants, animals, and produce. He loved putting ideas into Mr. Farmer's head and watching him run with them. He bought us our first birds (quail), some of my first preservation projects (bell peppers, strawberries), and many of our plants each spring. In many ways, our way of life will be very different without him. (Related Link: In Memoriam)

Mr. Farmer wouldn't have bought these ducks
if his brother hadn't called and told him
there were some for sale at the flea market.
